Tongan Language Week

New Zealand's Tongan Language Week starts today, with a focus on observing how Tongan culture has shaped the country.
Tongan is the third-largest Pacific group in New Zealand with just over 60,000 people identifying as Tongan.
More than half of them were born in New Zealand.

Dem Bones

Room 6 had fun with the science kit today looking at the human skeleton!

Trip to Expressions

What a fantastic day visiting Expressions for the Evolving Universe exhibition! We are so proud of our Galaxy Jars. They all look so different but remind us of so many things! Thanks again to all our whanau who supported us today!

Each week we will be doing Science experiments. Our first one was about breathing, air pollution and smog!

Descriptive Writing

The Mysterious Smoke by Xavier

The class was bored out of their minds until we did our science experiment. My mouth was open wide as Mrs Johnstone was doing all the stuff... slowly doing it. My mouth was still open with my brain dancing in my head and then it started. The rope was on fire with my eyes glowing in shock! Watching the fire and all of a sudden the fire stopped. My face changed into disappointment. I thought it over-  our science experiment over and all the others at risk. But we just restarted. "Yeeeeaaahhh" my mind said, throwing flowers at my eyes.

Welcome back to Term 3!
